Sguardi oltre la valle is a widespread exhibition born from a dialogue with the community of Vallebona. The project takes shape through the stories of women and men who lived in different times, contributing their memories to the construction of a collective narrative.
Voices, memories, and fragments of life intertwine along a path that guides visitors through the narrow alleys of the village, discovering eight memory sites, reaching all the way to the old washhouse of Fontane Vecchie. In each of these places, an archival photograph and a narrative restore the feeling of life in the past, thanks to the work of listening and collecting led by the project curator, Lorena Viale.
The heart of the exhibition is a central installation composed of 31 photographic portraits by Gloria Siccardi, who delicately captured the sincere gazes of the village elders. Eyes marked by time, witnesses of history: together, they tell the beauty and dignity of a life fully lived.
Sguardi oltre la valle promotes memory as a common good and cultural heritage to be protected and passed on. The narratives are accompanied by QR codes, also available in English, allowing foreign visitors to feel part of the village’s story.
The exhibition is open from 27 June to 28 September 2025.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Civil Protection of Camporosso, it will be accessible to people with disabilities during July and August.
