The Exalted Hour, exhibition by Davide Puma

Artist Davide Puma returns to bring color to the Ligurian west with a new exhibition, this time choosing the hinterland and, in particular, our village of Vallebona as a meeting point between art and territory.

The exhibition, entitled L’ora eccelsa, presents a path through large medium-format paintings and drawings. A visual narrative rich in metamorphic figures, paradisiacal gardens, and dreamlike images, leading the visitor on a symbolic journey toward other worlds and, at the same time, toward oneself.

As the artist states:

“Art has the ability to evoke something we have forgotten, that scent blended with reality that makes us marvel and awakens a part of us. It is our duty to keep the fire of imagination alive, because through it we can express the purest part of our being.”

The event is curated by Fabio Falone, with critical text by Francesca Bogliolo, and will open on August 11 at 9:00 PM with a live performance combining music, theatre, and opera, featuring soprano Claudia Sasso, actress Valentina Gallinella, and cellist Giulio Cozzari.

Davide Puma

Born in Sanremo in 1971, Davide Puma is considered one of the most poetic voices in contemporary Italian art. His pictorial universe is inhabited by symbolic creatures, surreal scenarios, and enchanted metamorphoses, where beauty and the connection with nature become a visual manifestation. L’ora eccelsa is an invitation to contemplation and reflection, a hope for a new time in which imagination and vital energy return to the center of our gaze upon the world.

Area Arte

The exhibition will be hosted at the Area Arte of the Municipality of Vallebona, the exhibition space inaugurated in 2024 with the tribute show dedicated to master Sergio Gagliolo.
