ART: dal reale all’immaginario

ART: dal reale all’immaginario is a solo exhibition by Franco Faraldi bringing together paintings, abstract figures and wooden sculptures, retracing the different expressions of his artistic research.

The journey begins with reality and the places that have accompanied the artist throughout his life. Among them, Bordighera's seafront promenade and the sea represent a privileged space for observation and inspiration, from which Faraldi gradually begins to build his own expressive world.

In the works on display, references to reality gradually give way to forms, figures and suggestions that lead towards a freer and more imaginative dimension.

The exhibition thus traces an artistic journey that has developed over time through different languages and materials, with the transition from observing reality to its personal interpretation as its common thread.

Franco Faraldi

Painting has been part of Franco Faraldi's life since childhood. His interest in drawing and colour, which began when he was still a child, developed over the years also thanks to encounters with other artists, including Guy Ontillera.

His desire to further develop his skills led him to attend a painting school in Nice for several years, where he continued his training and developed his artistic language.

Alongside painting, basketball and choral singing with Troubar Clair have also played an important role in his life, contributing to an eclectic personality open to different forms of expression.

In 1988, he moved to Vallebona, to a house in Vicolo della Torre. His relationship with the village and with the landscape stretching from the small valley towards the sea accompanied a particularly mature phase of his artistic production.
