I 4 Elementi

An exhibition dedicated to contemporary ceramics and to the deep relationship between matter, transformation and nature, through works inspired by the four elements: earth, water, air and fire.

WithI 4 Elementi, Carol Invernici presents a project born from years of research, in which the Raku ceramic technique becomes an expressive language capable of combining balance, essentiality and unpredictability.

The works on display tell of an imperfect and authentic beauty: surfaces marked by time, intense colours, traces of fire and essential forms that make each creation unique.

The exhibition finds a natural setting in Vallebona, a village that has dedicated some of its symbolic places to the four elements and that recognises art as an identity and cultural value.

The exhibition is curated by the Sergio Gagliolo Archive.

From 24 April to 17 May 2026

Carol Invernici

Carol Invernici was born in Bergamo in 1960. After her artistic studies, she graduated in fashion and costume design and began a path dedicated to ceramics, deepening techniques and artistic languages.

She later developed her own artisan and creative activity, combining artistic production with teaching and collaborations with social and educational organisations.

Since 1985 she has lived and worked in Apricale, a village in the far western Ligurian Riviera that has become an integral part of her aesthetic sensitivity and artistic imagination.

In 2005 she joined the Balbo Academy of Bordighera as a student of master Enzo Consiglio, further developing her painting and taking part in numerous exhibitions over the years.

Her artistic research moves between painting and three-dimensional expression, leading back to ceramic matter, where surface, light, shadow and modelling become central expressive tools.

She currently teaches ceramics at the Balbo Academy in Bordighera and in her own atelier CERAMIC ART STUDIO in Apricale.

She has taken part in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Her works are present in private collections in Italy, Monaco, Germany, France, Sweden, Canada and Japan.
